NCAA Tournament: Here Is Who Saint Peter’s Will Face In Elite Eight

Read Time:1 Minute, 20 Second

PHILADELPHIA — The next team in the Saint Peter’s Peacocks’ historic NCAA Tournament path is the program with the third-most national championships and most Final Four appearances in the college basketball history.

Saint Peter’s will face 8-seed North Carolina in the Elite Eight round on Sunday, March 27, around 5 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Peacock fans who want to attend that game can get tickets at StubHub or SeatGeek. And if they want to rep Saint Peter’s in style, they can buy a “Bracket Busted” shirt here or an “Elite 8″ T-shirt here or any other Saint Peter’s gear here.

The Peacocks have already injected themselves into the conversation of the greatest Cinderella runs in NCAA Tournament history by becoming the first 15-seed to reach the Elite Eight with a historic 67-64 win over 3-seed Purdue on Friday night. Making it to the Final Four would immediately make end the debate. They’ll need to beat a blue blood program with six national championships and 20 Final Fours to get there.

“I’ve got guys from New Jersey and New York City,” Saint Peter’s head coach Shaheen Holloway said after beating the Racers, a quote that went viral. “You think we’re scared of anything? You think we’re worried about guys trying to muscle us and tough us out? We do that. That’s who we are.”
