“Everyone is afraid, they don’t answer”: Zelensky on joining NATO
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had asked European leaders whether Ukraine would join NATO, but everyone was afraid to answer. This is reported by UNN with reference to the president’s video message.
“Today I asked 27 European leaders whether Ukraine would join NATO, I asked directly. Everyone is afraid. They don’t answer. And we are not afraid of anything. We are not afraid, we are not afraid to talk with Russia, talk about everything: security guarantees for our country and a neutral status (we are not in NATO now), but at the same time we will have guarantees,” Zelensky said.
He added that the fate of the country depends on the Ukrainian army and people, “on your wisdom and the great support of all friends of Ukraine.”
