The metabolic rate in the body can be controlled with the help of sports and food, said nutritionist Ruslan Aliyev . In his Telegram channel, he recalled these and other ways available to everyone to speed up the metabolism and, as a result, lose weight.

The specialist is sure that with age, the metabolism naturally slows down in those who begin to move less and neglect the principles of proper nutrition. Therefore, according to him, it is very important for people to control what they eat. Aliyev recommended to make food rich in protein and fiber as the basis of the diet, since the body spends more energy on its assimilation. Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish, calcium-rich natural yogurt and low-fat milk are good for accelerating metabolism. Also, he believes, apples, green tea, spinach, grapefruit, tofu, and chicken should be included in the diet.

Another important factor contributing to the improvement of metabolism is physical activity. Regular exercise burns more calories than normal daily activity, thanks to which a person begins to lose weight.

In addition, the metabolic rate helps control quality sleep, the doctor explained. In his opinion, you should go to bed no later than 23:00. The total duration of a night’s rest should be at least six to eight hours, since it has been proven more than once that people suffering from insomnia have weight problems.

Earlier, dietitian Elena Tikhomirova told who should not drink water with food. Drinking liquid during a meal is not allowed for people with gastritis, ulcers and other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract in the acute stage, she explained.
